El fin de semana, se realizó la 29ª Edición de esta tradicional celebración maipuense, que comenzó el 31 de enero.
Este Carnaval de la Amistad, es una gran fiesta que cuenta con artistas locales, regionales y nacionales, noche de folklore y las mejores comparsas de la zona. Hay carrozas, murgas, desfile criollo, corso infantil, patios de comidas y coronación de reinas soberanas de fiestas de la región.
En estas fechas hay degustaciones gastronómicas en el Patio de Comida y también se puede visitar la tradicional Feria de Artesanos en la Plaza San Martín.
En esta ocasión, estuvo presente en el lugar, la Flor del Pago Camila García, representando General Lavalle.
